On this special occasion, An Evening To Remember, I wanted to write…(of) your thoughtful and generous contributions… with the MATEC initiative.  You, without a doubt, helped put adherence on the agenda in the fight against HIV disease!  Your meetings, the extensive outreach to the community, to providers, care managers, and patients alike, as well as your efforts at dissemination of information and counseling protocols formed the foundation of adherence efforts today.

It was an honor to be part of your team – to know that I was working with absolutely the most dedicated individuals in the world, and to watch the MATEC efforts make a difference.

I know that this will just be the beginning of new “memories in the making” as you make Global PEERS another success story.

I wish you all the best and again must say that I look back on those years, working together, as a very special time.

Sincerely,

Margaret A. Chesney, PhD

Professor of Medicine, Professor in Residence

Co-Director, Center for AIDS Prevention Studies

Visiting Scientist, Office of Research on Woman’s Health
