… It is with great pleasure that the Village Scribe notes the emergence of Global Partnerships for Excellence in Education, Research, and Service. Because HIV/AIDS threatens the economic as well as public health of individuals, countries, and our human family, it is good to know that more resources will be available through your efforts.

In our past work together, we’ve struggled to find the right voice, the right words, to reach the hearts and minds of others. Your capacity for listening and your ability to find common themes and interests will serve Global PEERS well as it facilitates ongoing discussions around the world.

I’m especially impressed with the directors and advisors you’ve brought together, and was delighted to hear of the invitations to Nigeria and Tanzania. We must talk at some length upon your return.

Again, I wish you the best, and though I am unable to join you on November 2 due to prior commitments, please accept the enclosed check as a small token of my support.

 Sincerely,

 Elizabeth Martorell, Owner
